Gillian Anderson talks new X-Files

Ever since the X-Files movie in 1998, folk have been clamouring for a follow-up. David Duchovny recently dropped hints that such a film might be back on the cards (following the settlement of a lawsuit between creator Chris Carter and 20th Century Fox) and now, in an interview with Empire, Gillian Anderson has confirmed the idea.

"They’re starting to talk about doing a feature again. Every year or two they talk about it again, but it seems like it might be for real this time. Somehow it seems like somebody's really serious about it. All Chris says is that he wants to make a really scary horror, like a stand-alone episode. I don’t think they're interested in touching on any of the conspiracy stuff."

Woo-hoo! You can read the full story on the Empire website .
