Agent Carter heads to Hollywood in season 2 promo

Over the course of only eight episodes, Agent Carter proved how much fun a female-centred comic book series could be, deservedly winning itself a legion of fans in the process. Hayley Atwell's portrayal of the determined agent was particularly endearing, and we can't wait to see her return when the second season airs early next year.

The first promo for the new season was shown during this week's episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and it gives us a great look at what we can expect when the show returns. Short answer: more humour, more throwback style, and more of Peggy kicking ass.

While the maiden season of Agent Carter was set in New York, the second will move the action to Los Angeles. Furthermore, the episode order has also been extended from 8 to 10, an encouraging sign that ABC studios has taken notice of the show's huge popularity.

Starring Atwell, Wynn Everett, Dominic Cooper, James D’Arcy, and Chad Michael Murray, season 2 of Agent Carter will kick off with a 2-hour special in the US on January 5 2015, with a UK release date yet to be confirmed.
