Dead Lawyers Rises From The Grave

Sony TV resurrects a dead Syfy pilot from eight years ago

Eight years ago Sony TV produced a pilot for Syfy called Dead Lawyers , starring one-time young Indy Sean Patrick Flanery, but it never went to a series. Now, Sony is giving it a second chance at life. Of afterlife. Or whatever.

According to Deadline , this new version has Graham Yost ( Justified , Pacific , Falling Skies ) on board to co-write/executive produce and John Stamos ( Glee , he’s the singing dentist) attached to star.

It’s a legal drama with one a big difference: the lawyers are dead (you may have worked this out from the title). The series tells the story of a high powered defense attorney, played by Stamos, who is killed by a bus but is not allowed to rest in peace. He joins a firm of deceased attorneys who have to take on very special cases in an attempt to achieve redemption.

If the show does get picked up this time, it’ll be interesting to see how it compares to the UK’s Eternal Law , which is currently in production in York
