Tonight, history will be made as Bond appears in cinemas in China: the first time in the series' 45-year history. This will be the widest release ever for a foreign film in China. Turning up for the Chinese premiere will be Daniel Craig and Eva Green, as well as director Martin Campbell and producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
"I feel privileged to share in such a momentous occasion in a country that I've been eager to visit for a long time," said Craig. "Although I've only been in China for a few days, I was thrilled to be able to see the Forbidden City."
Casino Royale is already the highest-grossing Bond flick ever, according to Sony's official statement, having taken a bank-swelling £54.6 million at the UK box office alone.
