Star Trek Enterprise, Lost Boys 2 and more

Three more stories to delight and inform:

Lost Boys 2 is casting! Yep, there's going to be a sequel to the 1987 classic (our Jon Coates's favourite movie). And the word on the street is that Corey Haim will be back, along with Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander. Sadly, no Jason Patric or Kiefer Sutherland. Check out Empire's story for more info.

Like to chin-wag about the singularity ? San Francisco's Singularity Summit will be held on 8 and 9 September. The theme is "Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity." Via BoingBoing .

Brannon Braga has finally admitted that the last episode of Enterprise was pants. He popped into the weekend's Las Vegas Star Trek Convention and took questions about his work across Next Generation, Voyager and Enterprise. "It didn’t quite creatively align with the rest of the season," he said of "These Are The Voyages." According to he continued: "[It] was very controversial and I do have some regrets about it. It had some great stuff in it and it was a cool concept, but it was languid. I don’t know if it fully delivered and it really p****d off the cast."

That’s your lot! We're still in the office, but surely it's about time you went and had some tea. See you tomorrow.
