David Tennant's days in the TARDIS may be numbered, but at least we'll be getting value for money before he hands over the keys to Matt Smith. The Beeb's just announced that the Tenth Doctor will be making an appearance alongside former companion Sarah Jane Smith in two episodes of the upcoming third series of the Sarah Jane Adventures. We wouldn't mind betting they'll be among the highest rating episodes of a kids' show of all time.
The 12-part series will kick off in September, and will feature the returning Judoon and their reptilian enemies, the Veil.
“Viewers thought they may have to wait until November for the next full episode of Doctor Who, but this is an extra special treat," says Russell T Davies. "And it's not just a cameo from David - this is a full on appearance for The Doctor as he and Sarah Jane face their biggest threat ever.”
Broadcast has also reported that Tennant's Doctor's making another appearance this year in an animated series in the style of The Infinite Quest. The seven-part Red Button/CBBC series forms a story called Dreamland, and it's written by Phil Ford, who's co-writing the next Who special, The Waters Of Mars, with RTD.
