Fox reviving Prison Break as a limited series

Fox is set to revive Prison Break as part of its upcoming slate of new programming, with TV Line reporting that the studio is currently working on bringing back the show for a limited run.

The report claims that the plan is to bring back stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell for a self-contained storyline, similar to the 24 revival show 24: Live Another Day that arrived last year. Miller and Purcell were recently reunited by The CW’s The Flash, and will soon be taking those characters forward in new series, Legends Of Tomorrow.

The news comes hot on the heels of yesterday’s announcement that the studio will be creating a new series of 24 that won’t be featuring Jack Bauer. Factor in the forthcoming X-Files revival, and it seems as though there is going to be a big old wave of nostalgia tinting Fox’s output for some time to come…
