A Classic Jack Kirby Comic Strip For You!

Six pages of sublime ’50s comic book artistry from legends Joe Simon and Jack Kirby

Tomorrow (Friday 24 September) Titan Books is publishing a mighty tome celebrating the pre-Marvel work of two of the comic industry’s greatest names – writer Joe Simon and artist Jack Kirby. Boasting a massive 480 pages of classic reprints from the ’50s, Simon Kirby Superheroes features cruelly forgotten superheroes such as The Stuntman, The Black Owl and Captain 3D (who is surely ripe for a big screen comeback considering the current cinematic climate?).

To tempt your tastebuds here’s six pages of action from The Double Life Of Private Strong from June 1959. Enjoy.
