Warehouse 13 Renewed For Fourth Season

Syfy gives thumbs up for more artefact hunting

Syfy has announced that Warehouse 13 has been renewed for a fourth season of 13 episodes to air in 2012, reveals The Hollywood Reporter .

The show, which is currently airing its third season, has recently been averaging 2.3 million viewers. Which isn’t that much more than Eureka was achieving, and Syfy has axed that, although it too will have a final fifth season in 2012.

The Hollywood Reporter also mentions that Warehouse 13 creator Jack Kenny spoke about a potential HG Wells spin-off at Comic-Con. Apparently Kenny said that it is in “very early planning stages” but has “gotten Syfy interested in the notion”.

In the Warehouse 13 universe (which as we now know , is the same universe as Alphas and Eureka ), Wells’ sister Helena is the real writer of the novels; she was also a member of Warehouse 12 in Victorian London. Would that be the setting for the spin-off? And would it feature Gareth David Lloyd (née, Torchwood ’s Ianto), who turned up in this week’s episode of Warehouse 13 in a flashback to 1893, when he was Helena’s sidekick Willy? They certainly made a good pairing. And, hey, they could even team up with Victorian Torchwood
