Warren Ellis' Red gets adapted

It must be a tough life being a retired assassin. You spend most of your days wondering when someone is going to come and take a shot at you.

At least, that’s the dilemma for the main character in Warren Ellis’ comic series Red. Summit Entertainment has nabbed the rights to the books, which see our hero trying to reassemble his old team to figure out how to stop a high-tech threat. Erich and John Hoeber, who wrote the upcoming Kate Beckinsale comic flick Whiteout, are hard at work on the script, but there’s no word on a director yet.
