Sea of Thieves is having a technical alpha December 16 - 18, here's how to get a spot

Sea of Thieves is the first wholly original game from Rare in years - assuming you don't count those Kinect Sports mini-game compilations of course - so people are understandably excited. If you're one of those people, I've got good news: a small-scale technical alpha will run from December 16 to 18, and there's a chance you could be part of it.

The alpha is only available to members of the Sea of Thieves Insider Program, which is sort of like a mailing list for those who want to follow the game's development more closely. Thankfully, it's very easy to sign up and become a member. Just head to the game's official website and click the "sign up" button.

Doing so won't guarantee you a spot in the alpha, which will be limited to 1,000 players this go-round. However, as the frequency of tests increases, so too will the number of participants allowed in. Just be sure to prove yer worth, ya scurvy dogs.
