Graveyard Keeper 2 gets a release date and it's just around the corner
September spooky vibes for everyone! And zombies
Graveyard Keeper 2, one of my personal wishlist wants, just got a release date at the Future Games Show at Gamescom.
The spooky sequel is dropping on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch 2 and Switch on September 22, 2026.
The humorous tone of the latest trailer that just dropped really does give you a great sense of the hilariously playful morbidity of Graveyard Keeper, which is obviously carried over into this sequel.
But, it's a much bigger and more expansive game this time around, with your quest now including restoring an entire town as well as maintaining your success and completely legit graveyard business.
Wishlist Graveyard Keeper 2 on Steam now!
Release date: September 22, 2026
It's time to manage your graveyard again, but this time there's a town to save, an apocalypse to fend off, and zombies to tame.
Yes you'll still be tending to graves, taking in the dead and harvesting their organs for profit, with the options of adding machinery, automating production with some undead help, and collecting various flora and fauna.
That's almost a side gig this time though, as you're also the Inquisitor tasked with leading an undead army into battle against the zombie apocalypse. And when you're not heading into combat, you'll also be helping the Medieval townsfolk rebuild, completing various quests, and more.
It's a bold sequel that adds basically an entire other game to an already excellent management sim, so there's more than one reason this is high up my Steam wishlist.
Speaking of wishlisting, you can add it to your own on Steam right now ahead of that September 22 release date, when it'll also be available on PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch 2, and Switch 1.
