2K Marin has revealed the first round of DLC for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. Priced at $4.99 and scheduled for release on October 8 exclusively on Xbox 360, the Hangar 6 R&D add-on pack is set just before the large-scale alien invasion in the main game.
Players step into the shoes of Agent DaSilva, who has volunteered for a series of psychic experiments, the DLC’s lead designer explains in a developer blog: "Agent DaSilva and his squad are treated with an elerium-based compound gas in order to visualize and combat the mental defenses of another agent infected with the Sleepwalker pathogen.”
The DLC’s said to crank up the game's difficulty level, but this is balanced out by the introduction of a new series of powers and perks based on DaSilva's 'plant and trigger' bomb abilities. These can be mixed with some of Agent Carter's abilities from the main game in players’ upgrade paths. Fresh weapons include a new AK-47 and a prototype Microwave Gun that cooks enemies from the inside out.
2K Marin said in June that multiple narrative-driven DLC packs for the game are planned for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, with only the first one exclusive to Microsoft's console
