Without doubt, this is the hardest image quiz we've ever seen. Below is an illustration featuring a secret number of videogame references and images. Some of them are obvious but others are downright cryptic.

Your challenge is to find more than the next man. The prize is every single game* shortlisted in this year's Golden Joystick awards. Click to enlarge (or right click to download) and get to it.

    @Cernunnos Just get as many as you can. The winner will be whoever gets the most right. We're not expecting anyone to get 100% - if they do then wow, you're cleverer than us... (which ain't hard).

    practically impossible. lets just hope they give the prize to whoever is closest if noone is spot-on.

    even if you spot hundreds there could be some obscure crap thats not really possible to solve.

    i like the bleach one, and dead space, and half life and monkey ball and gears of war and... hell, theres just too many great ones. awesome contest, but totally evil.

    Okay, I found 54 in about 10-15 mins and submitted but 1 may be wrong, I'll assume people are doing much better. Can't believe I didnt figure out the planet with the signs until now *facepalm*

    @Randomx1978: If that's the year you were born, I'm a fair bit younger than you, so you cant really be too young to remember xP

    been at it for about 40 mins, so far got 40 games, im too young to remember quite a few of them unfair lol. and well done to the numnut that pointed out the lost game to everyone..ahhhh well back to searching

    the rules are poorly laid out as well. is it per game franchise, or outing? i se references to both FFVII and III. and more than one mario kart game. i also see 2 LBP. tho they count as two since they are so far apart? bah, im confused.

    @Firewarrior706: lol unfortunately no it isnt, just a tag. i was born in 1992 my friend,so got quite a bit of catchin up game wise, fair amount in this pic are the oldschoool games, like that ship thing in the top left, i dont have a clue what that is :p

    this is hard. i thought about cheating and guessing a random number but then realised you had to name them aswell. its like trying to guess the number sweets in a jar and then name the flavours aswell
