The latest stage of Funcom's marketing for The Secret World revolves around the Templars, described as “the most uncompromising and traditional” of the three in-game factions. In the biggest public-awareness campaign for any secret society in recent memory, the website's Week of the Templars is here to make sure you know the London-based zealots back to front, starting with some new screens.
You may know the Templars from the Assassin's Creed games, crusades-themed movies like Kingdom of Heaven, or every conspiracy theory ever. Within the context of The Secret World, though, you probably don't know much at all – but you'll want as much info as possible before choosing your side. You'll get your first chance when The Secret World's open beta launches, sometime between Christmas and the game's April street date.
