Hex: Shards of Fate developer demo

Excuse us while we totally geek out over a collectible card game. But this is no ordinary CCG--because Hex is a digital-only card game that does away with the impossibilities of a cardboard-based medium. Cryptozoic Entertainment swung by to show off Hex: Shards of Fate, their free-to-play game that blends the community, character progression, and exploration of an MMO with the mind games and strategy of a collectible card game. Check out our developer demo with Cory Jones, veteran designer and chief creative officer at Cryptozoic. You might recognize him from a certain Penny Arcade comic.

Check back for more info on Hex: Shards of Fate when our full preview goes live next week!

This game looks incredible. i started with a measly $20 backing it, but after reading more and more I'm now in for $120. I love TCG's but most of my friends in the area don't. This will allow me to play anytime I want with people anywhere, and the game looks crazy fun!

I don't know anything about card games but that Cory sounds so knowledgable and quick about this that It sounds like a cool idea. Maybe I'll try card games, starting with this...I shall see. Also really glad this guy is a good speaker and can pull out any kind of info on the fly. So many game dev people can't even seem like they know their own game
