Dragon Age II is slated to receive a +10 Talented Redhead bonus next month with arrival of a new DLC adventure entitled Mark of the Assassin. Arriving October 11th, the add-on will re-introduce fans to Tallis, an Elvish assassin voiced by Felicia Day (The Guild, Eureka) who first portrayed the character in this year's live-action web series Dragon Age: Redemption.

Mark of the Assassin will task players with helping Tallis nab an ancient artifact from a heavily protected Orlesian fortress. Tallis will be a playable character, and is described by BioWare's Chris Priestly as: “A cross between Varric and Isabela, Tallis is a rogue who introduces a new fighting style to add more variety in combat.”

BioWare's press release indicated the DLC will include new items, weapons, environments, enemies, and an emphasis on stealth gameplay. Mark of the Assassin will be available for download on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC next month for $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points.

Enjoyed Day's performance in The Guild and the latest season of Eureka and am looking forward to this DLC. It might have to do with the fact that Hawke can kick ass in a dinner robe though lol.

I have two issues with this: 1) Dragon Age II is horrible. Absolutely horrible. A boring, ugly, unfun game backed by a shallow story that goes nowhere. 2) Felicia's rendering looks terrible. Regardless of what you think of what Felicia looks like in real life, there's no denying how uncanny and dull she looks in this DLC. So no, I won't be getting this.

Not to sound like Negative Nancy, but she doesnt really look like a DA2 elf. The DA2 elves had distinctive facial features, especially the nose and eyes. Day's character just looks like a human with elf ears. Just saiyan.

I love Felicia Day + I hate Dragon Age 2 = Sorry Day, can't support this. Her rendering is terrible, but for a slighty-abovish average looking girl that plays video games, she's rather talented and doesn't act like the "usual" girl gamer (God those are annoying.) Anyways, support Day "furthering" her career, but will NOT support Dragon Age 2 DLC in anyway. Maybe next time, ol' girl
  • Rancid47 - September 16, 2011 2:22 p.m.

Her face looks so AWFUL in the game. I mean, she's a good looking girl (not overly hot and pretty average). But man, the translation into game went awful. Plus her voice sounds so out of place. Maybe it's just me? She just doesn't seem to have a voice suited for voice overs.

Stop reminding us of your failure Bioware.

Man, someone needs to send them a banner with those exact words.
  • willbishop - September 16, 2011 1:32 p.m.

I love these comments about her being "average-looking" So what? I like her because she's smart, funny and enjoys the same kind of games that I do. Not every woman has to be crazy hot.
  • Redeater - September 16, 2011 1:57 p.m.

And if she was below "average looking" do you think you would have ever heard about her? If you don't think looks have any relation to sky rocketing gamer girls success or fame....go look at the Frag Dolls and pick out the ugliest one. Point is I'm sure there are a lot of girls that are "smart","funny", and could hand you your ass on live but you never hear about them because they aren't as good looking as Felica Day. Ask yourself if a less attractive woman would have gotten a part in the game.
  • Redeater - September 16, 2011 1:15 p.m.

I actually saw her at the local Comic-Con here in Canada. She is very average looking in person and if it wasn't for my wife I would have no idea who the hell she was in the first place. That being said I couldn't give a crap about her in this. I 100% DA2 and I have no intentions of going back to it. Also, with Rage,AC:R, Zelda,GOW and the other hundred games that get end of the year release dates, even if I wanted to I would never get around to playing it.
  • Yaro - September 16, 2011 12:31 p.m.

Man, every single article says her name like million times. Is she supposed to be somehow appealing to dragon age fans? Dun get it.
  • db1331 - September 16, 2011 1:04 p.m.

That's what I don't get. She's a slightly above average-looking girl who plays video games. They are a dime a dozen on the internet. Guys, you are on the internet. If you just want to ogle a woman, go to a porn site. Don't watch some horrible live action trailer for video game.
  • db1331 - September 16, 2011 12:27 p.m.

That picture is just all kinds of creepy. I never understood the fascination with this girl.
  • Crabhand - September 16, 2011 11:58 a.m.

I loved DA2 and Legacy, so I have high hopes that Mark of the Assassin will be better than both ^_^
