The more green-minded among our readers will be pleased to hear that our parent company has been working to replace those plastic bags all mags seem to use these days with an oxo-biodegradable alternative. This includes the transparent plastic bags SFX uses on the news-stand when we have a covermounted gift, as well as the postal bags used to send subscription copies to our subscribers. These new bags will gradually degrade leaving no harmful residues, it says here. Which is nice.
Of course, SFX is already one of Future's mags that use chlorine-free paper, independently certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council. Yay.
