Fassbender is a flawed genius in Steve Jobs TV spot

Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs movie is taking an altogether less saintly approach to the Apple innovator than the previous movie, which starred Ashton Kutcher. As shown in the latest TV spot, Michael Fassbender wrestles with the demands of being a figurehead and a leader to an entire workforce. That type of responsibility naturally means he's going to make a few frenenemies.

Penned by Aaron Sorkin, the film is anchored in three significant moments of Jobs' life - the launches of his most prized Apple products. "Artists lead and hacks ask for a show of hands," he intones in the clip, making no bones about how his rise to the top was achieved. Check out the spot below.

Adopting the same ominous tone as earlier trailers, this glimpse at Jobs' life suggests that we're in for a unique "true story" movie that won't pull any punches. Steve Jobs opens in the US on October 9, and the UK on November 13. Kate Winslet, Jeff Daniels, Seth Rogen and Katherine Waterston co-star.
