Rage's weapons of wasteland destruction showcased in 'The Arsenal' dev diary

If there's one key lesson to be learned from id Software'sthird Rage dev diary, it's that post apocalyptic survivors should never leave their ark without a decent helmet, neck protector and an absurb amount of bullet proof padding. If there's a secondary lesson, it's that Wingsticks are the kickass weapon of the future. Seriously, after watching this 'Making of the Arsenal' featurette, you'll almost wish the world would end just so you too can start chucking those things around.

id Software seems insistent on reminding fans that Rage is a first-person shooter first and a racer / RPG / open-world adventure game second. And by the looks of it, shooting stuff (and collecting new things to shoot with) certainly appears tobe the raw, bloodymeat of Rage's gameplay.

The full breadth of Rage's offerings will be revealed on October 4th in North America, and October 7th in the UK.
