$360 million, folks. That's reportedly the final tally on Call of Duty: Black Ops' first-day sales, making it the single highest-grossing launch in entertainment history.
The announcement isn't extremely surprising and confirms what many expected, thoughsome skepticsweren't sure ifthe gamecould pull it off. There's nothing to be skeptical about now.
Activision has said that it sold 5.6 million copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops in its first day, beating Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2'sprevious launch-day record of 4.7 million units.
It will certainly be some time before any game manages to capture that many launch sales again... like, until the next Call of Duty is released.
