It's like, how much more grey could this be? And the answer is none. None more grey...

Today, Activision released a small batch of new screenshots for Modern Warfare 3 today, showing off a skirmish taking place on a monochromatic street. When compared to other images and trailers of Call of Duty games it's... actually fairly tame. There are few explosions, fewer buildings collapsing, and even fewer nuclear weapons blowing up. Wait, huh? We thought this was a Call of Duty game! Things really have changed now that the old Infinity Ward team is gone.

It sure does look pretty, though. We’re sure that many of you have better eyes for Call of Duty nuances than we do, so take a look and tell us what you think. Are there any new guns in there? Can you figure out where it is they're fighting? It sort of looks like it might be in the US – maybe even NYC – but it's so zoomed-in that we can't tell. Then again, if it was NYC we're pretty confident that the Statue of Liberty's head would be on the street somewhere, since that seems to happen whenever things go south in NYC.
