Saints Row IV sales top a million in first week

Saints Row IV sold more than a million copies in its first week on the market, Deep Silver announced today. We quite enjoyed the super-powered open-world game, ourselves.

Notably, the PC version of Saints Row IV has outsold Saints Row: The Third's PC version three-to-one in the same period.

All those new Presidents of the United States still have plenty of alien thrashing and car smashing ahead of them, but they can expect the first mission pack DLC titled Enter the Dominatrix to arrive in a little bit more than a month. As if Saints Row wasn't self-aware enough already, Enter the Dominatrix touches on the game's strange journey from standalone expansion to full-on sequel and its flight from THQ to Deep Silver.

I have to say--I've always been skeptical, but the reviews were so positive I grabbed a copy. Have not been disappointed--kind of has the same attitude as the good ol' Duke Nuke 'Em. Never boring and always making you grin.

i want it. I cannot though. Mayhaps when my brothers are older I would not have to worry about them walking in on this game. By that time though I will be able to do whatever i want

I'm glad it's doing well, hopefully this means that Deep Silver will keep Volition around and we'll see more from them in the future and hopefully another Saints Row

And unlike other companies i'm sure they're more than happy with this result. Some pretty solid marketing too. Glad the game is getting the sales that it deserves.
