Hey guys, remember a few years ago when Factor 5 (Rogue Squadron) still existed? It was wounded by betting hard on Sixaxis controls with its PS3-exclusive stinker Lair, but even something that crummy wasn’t what killed it. It was when multiple game projects were cancelled by publisher Brash that Factor 5 as we knew it died. One of those games you’ll never see is the developer’s would-be Superman title, and with these examples of character art, you can at least get some idea what it might have looked like.

Found by Siliconera on the site of artist Daveed Kaplan this set of images gives us some insight into the project codenamed Blue Steel. You not only see how Superman looked (we like how big the chest symbol is), there’s villains like Lex Luthor, New Gods Darkseid and his son Kalibak, and rogue Kryptonians Zod and Non. Images like these make us a little sad, if for no other reason than small tastes like these shows the potential this game had before being cancelled. Perhaps Superman was on his way to starring in his first good game? Sadly, we’ll never know.

I'd like to see a Superman origin game. It would provide rationale for the development of Supermans power as the game progresses.

Smallville game....made by Rocksteady of course

Not feeling the Darksied Model (Design wise) too much, but those models are pretty well done. I highly doubt that the game had a good premiss, otherwise why would they cancel money?... A good game is money for them.

Looks awful. Now, a superman game by Rocksteady ...

Superman should be in a game like Spider-Man 2 with flying levels as well. Superman should fly to different missions, land with an impact, then go on foot and use various powers like X-Ray vision, Frost Breath, Heat Vision, Super Strength, and Super Speed. In Flying mode, he'll have to destroy targets with Super Strength and Heat Vision. The game should also feature God of War style interactive cut-scenes so you can see Superman fly in battle and use various powers to finish off an enemy.

they would have been a good fit for a superman game. that said, those character models all look kinda off to me.
