Just yesterday we just got an extended look at DmC: Devil May Cry, the revamp of Capcom’s action-horror franchise by developer Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword, Enslaved), and now we’ve got our hands on a new set of screens. Some may have scoffed at protagonist Dante’s punky redesign, but we’ve gotten pretty accustomed to it by now. In fact, we’re so used to the alternate version of the demon hunter that we’re more interested in seeing this new Dante killing monsters instead of dissecting these new screens for whatever clues we can find about his personality.

Outside of the washed out white-haired Dante pic, these screens are all about showcasing the color palette of the reboot. Vibrant yellows, reds, blues and green populate the fancy new screens, as does some weird caterpillar man that we hope Dante ends up killing by the end of the game. We don’t have a more concrete release date then some time in 2012, but you can fill the void in early 2012 with the Devil May Cry HD Collection.

i think Ninja Theory will do a good job with theis. i hope the game is more than 4 hours long, otherwise it will be a waste of my time at $60.00. I am hoping of 15 to 15 hours or dreaming of 20 to 25.

Looking pretty good, although I'm far more interested in what Ninja Theory's going to do with story.

So far, the only actual character we've seen is Dante, so I'm curious to find out about the possible supporting cast. Any chance we'll see re-imagined versions of familiar faces such as Vergil, Trish or Lady? Or a completely new cast? Exciting thought.

That's one of the things I'm really looking forward to in the game. All the additional characters Dante will meet along the way. I'd love to have an epic battle with Vergil.

Same. I'd kill to see a new version of Vergil, just to have SOME SEMBLANCE of VERGIL. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, some of the new weapons look awesome. One problem i do have is that a few of the locations look a little recycled (a lot of the outdoor areas from #2, and 5-7 from #4)

    New screens!!! Yay!

edit: the last one looks really cool. I mean they all look cool and I'm glad they keep showing the same boss. I know that annoys people when devs do that, but that keeps the rest of the game a surprise which is awesome.
