Put on your finest gravity-control-top bustier and get ready to fall with style once more: Gravity Rush 2 is coming to PS4 on December 2 in the US and UK. The sequel to the best Vita action game ever made (yeah I said it) finally has a release date after being officially revealed back in September 2015 (opens in new tab).
Sony (opens in new tab) put together a new trailer for the occasion, starring Kat, her former rival and now superheroic partner Raven, and a city full of people who weren't expecting to leave the floor for an extended period at any point today.
Meanwhile, an anime series called Gravity Rush The Animation ~ Overture ~ is on its way from Studio Khara, which previously led animation on the Rebuild of Evangelion film series. Overture will be released prior to Gravity Rush 2 and will bridge the storyline between the original and the sequel. Speaking of the original, float on over to Gravity Rush Remastered (opens in new tab) for PS4 if you haven't played it yet, alright?
Sony also confirmed that pre-orders for Gravity Rush 2 from "select retailers" will be rewarded with a white DLC costume for Kat and nine songs from the soundtrack. PlayStation Store pre-orders will get 10 PSN avatars as of August 2, though I don't know if anything will ever replace my sweaty, grinning Sulu portrait.
