Yesterday it was confirmed that Bayonetta, star of the Platinum Games' similarly titled hack and slash action game from 2010, would appear in the online fighter Anarchy Reigns. Sadly, this was revealed as a Japan-only perk; and only for players who pre-order Platinum Games' forthcoming brawler. Nevertheless, we'll take any excuse to gawk at new images of the stylish spellcaster, and Sega's new screenshots (via Andriasang) from Bayonetta's upcoming cameo certainly do the trick.
In addition to the new screenshots, Sega has also updated is Anarchy Reigns website (aka Max Anarchy out East), as well as launched a YouTube channel dedicated to looping Anarchy Reigns trailers and gameplay videos.
Anarchy Reigns unites characters from Platinum Games' MadWorld universe (Wii, 2009) with brand new fighters for a multiplayer beat 'em up that will sport online action and a single player story mode. Look for it to break bones on PS3 and Xbox 360 on July 3 in North America, and July 6 in Europe. And Sega, if you're listening, how about extending that Bayonetta pre-order bonus overseas?
