Chalk up another left-field career choice for Rose McGowan. Reports suggest that the actress is considering starring in Inferno, the biopic of Deep Throat star Linda Lovelace.
McGowan is rumoured for Sin City 2, Barbarella and Red Sonja, but if Fox News is to be believed she'll join actors Bill Pullman and Chuck Traynor in bringing the controversial figure to the big screen. Uh, again.
Writer-director Matthew Wilder will direct from his own script, with Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind) producing.
More than just a movie
Whilst the film will (obviously) address the notorious Deep Throat flick, Fox News also reports that the film will look into the early life of Lovelace and address her post-Deep Throat activities.
In the years after making the film, Lovelace wrote two bestselling memoirs and campaigned against pornography, claiming that Deep Throat producer Chuck Traynor had forced her at gunpoint into filming her infamous role.
Rose McGowan is not the first person to be rumoured for the part. Over the years, Courtney Love, Angelia Jolie, Meg Ryan and more recently Anna Faris have all been previously attached.
