BioWare understands RPGs. That’s why we can’t wait to see more of what the studio behind Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Knights of the Old Republic has in store for fans with the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Beta testing codes will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. So enter now and enter quickly to snag your spot for the next beta phase and help BioWare stress test servers.

Bioware says on the game's site that the test will be on weekend this month and its not this upcoming weekend. So odds are that it will Thanksgiving weekend unless they hold off till December 2nd. If you have alreadt signed up to beta test on their site then you don't need a code. You'll just be taking it from someone else.

If it is anything like previous builds, you'll be able to download the client a few days beforehand.

If you were already chosen as a beta player, the email says signing up on other game industry sites will harm your chances of participating

Then how come in the FAQ it says you can get a beta key from sites like IGN, Gamesradar, and others?
  • Falcon4196 - November 15, 2011 4:56 p.m.

Because that is for everyone who hadn't signed up for the beta prior to 11/11/11. If you were already signed up you are in the beta weekend and do not need a key.

But it won't reduce your chances of participating, as stated by jonathan-strange
  • cory-smith - November 15, 2011 12:27 p.m.

When does the beat test start?
  • cory-smith - November 15, 2011 1:55 p.m.

Lol, post fail. I mean't BETA test.
