Just keep swimming with first Finding Dory teaser

Disney Pixar has spent 12 years working on the long-awaited sequel to Finding Nemo, and at last the aquatic adventure is splashing out with its first teaser. Finding Dory picks up six months after the events of the first movie, with the forgetful and charming Dory now living next door to Marlin and Nemo. In a quest to locate her parents, she -- like Nemo -- gets lost. Sorta.

Returning to the depths of the ocean to voice the loveable Dory is Ellen DeGeneres, who debuted the teaser on her YouTube channel. While it clocks in at just under two minutes, that's more than enough time to pique your interest in the colorful oceanic world and the film's loveable leading trio.

In true Pixar style the warm, fuzzy feelings and funny, silly moments are perfectly balanced to winning effect without spoiling any major plot points. And, yes, the studio hasn't had the best track record when it comes to sequels, but here's hoping Dory's journey will change that. Andrew Stanton returns to direct Finding Dory, which opens in the US on June 17, 2016 and the UK on July 29, 2016.
