Woody Harrelson lets slip that his Han Solo movie character is "a bit of a criminal"

We now know that Woody Harrelson will be playing Han Solo’s mentor (and that he’s really good at ping pong) but the actor has teased out a teeny-tiny detail about his character in the upcoming Han Solo movie – and he sounds just like a proto-Solo.

In an interview with Mashable during a Facebook Live Q&A for his new ‘live movie’ Lost in London – skip to 12:00 for the Star Wars question – Harrelson seems reluctant to reveal too much about his role (don’t worry, so was Mark Hamill) but eventually says, “I’m a mentor to Han,” before pausing and confessing, “I’m also a bit of a criminal.” Well, I for one am not shocked in the slightest.

Just don’t go expecting Harrelson to start shooting his mouth off about Han Solo spoilers anytime soon, joking, “I don’t think I should say more than that because the Force is not allowing me.”

Force or no Force, Han Solo is certainly going to attend How To Be A Scoundrel 101 taught by Woody Harrelson – that alone is worth the price of admission.

Starring Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson and Emilia Clarke, the as-yet-untitled Young Han Solo spin off is scheduled to be released in 2018.
