A new UK trailer has been unveiled for Robert Redford's grey-haired buddy movie A Walk In The Woods, in which he and Nick Nolte set out into the back of beyond to take on the 1000-mile long Appalachian Trail.
Redford plays Bill Bryson, upon whose memoir the film is based on, who finds himself itching for adventure after returning to the US following a two-decade stint in the UK. Sensibly, his wife (Emma Thompson) has reservations about his taking on the trail alone, which is why he ropes in the thoroughly unsuitable Nolte for company…

It will be interesting to see how well Bryson's signature wit and warmth translates to the big screen, but Redford and Nolte seem set to make for an agreeably cranky double-act, while the scenery on show looks truly breathtaking. Directed by Ken Kwapis and co-starring Nick Offerman and Mary Steenburgen, A Walk In The Woods will open in the US on 2 September 2015 and the UK on 18 September 2015.
