After seeing the first official trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey , we in the Total Film office have been overcome with newfound nostalgia for Middle-earth. And from the sounds of what Peter Jackson has been saying on Facebook, we might be in for one more treat before Christmas…
Having already posted the new trailer on The Hobbit ’s official Facebook page, the Kiwi director left an additional message on his personal page promising further goodies to come.
“Hi everyone!,” says Jackson. “This year is the tenth anniversary of the release of The Fellowship of the Ring , and we wanted to give the fans a Christmas treat ahead of the release of the two Hobbit movies in Dec 2012 and 2013. Stay tuned for more. Cheers!”
We’ve no clue what the new surprise could be, or even if the message was supposed to go out before the launch of the trailer, but nevertheless it’s got us crossing our fingers for one more Hobbity surprise before the weekend.
So come on Santa – spread some Christmas magic over the Jackson household and get him to give us some more stuff. We’ve been very good this year, after all…
