First trailer lands for Jem And The Holograms

The first trailer has arrived online for Jem And The Holograms, Universal’s adaptation of the Technicolor 80s TV show, and its every bit as big, brash and buoyant as fans of the original could have hoped for…

The film sees bedroom songwriter Jerrica become an overnight YouTube sensation when her sister uploads a video of one of her songs. Right on cue, a record company comes knocking, and Jerrica and her siblings are soon transformed into “Jem and the Holograms”.

Take a look at the new trailer, below…

This latest trailer is attached to screenings of Pitch Perfect 2, which should come as no surprise given the subject matter. And while Jem And The Holograms might not have the same level of wit on display here, it looks every bit as gleeful in terms of pop-star wish fulfilment!

Directed by Jon M. Chu and co-starring Aubrey Peeples, Stefanie Scott and Juliette Lewis, Jem And The Holograms will open in the US on 23 October 2015 and the UK on 26 December 2015.
