Venom Movie Moving Nearer To Reality
Since Sony Pictures announced in August that it was developing a Venom movie (based on the Marvel character bastardised in Spider-Man 3) news has gone a bit quiet. But, in a recent interview with Sci Fi Wire , scripter Paul Wernick revealed that the spin-off is moving ahead, with two drafts are already in the hands of Sony.

"We've written two drafts of Venom, and the studio has it, and they're pushing forward in whatever ways they push forward," said WErnick. Pressed further about when the movie will go into production, he responded, "We're not sure, [but] we've turned in our two drafts."

When asked about the relationship between Spider-Man 4 and Venom, the Zombieland co-writer was keeping his lips tightly sealed. "We can't really talk about that, unfortunately. Basically, the studio and Marvel and the Arads are taking our drafts and going beyond and figuring out what's the next step."

V Runs Into Trouble Again
ABC is only going to show four episodes of its V remake this year before taking the show off the air until spring, according to Variety . This follows a complete halt in production earlier this year. ABC says the other nine episodes will eventually be shown, but TV insiders are apparently telling Variety the series' 13 episode order might get cut down: “Decision to launch the show with a four-episode sampler led to rumblings Thursday night and Friday morning that the show's episodic order had been reduced - something both ABC and producer Warner Bros. TV vehemently denied. Show will still produce 13 episodes this year, they stressed."

Flash Forward Premieres To Impressive Ratings
Flash Forward‘s first episode drew in an impressive 12.47 million viewers to ABC in the States, reports Variety , but with the kind of publicity its been getting, you'd expect that. Meanwhile, CBS will have been happy with it’s new Friday night psychic slot, with two veteran shows – Ghost Whisperer and Medium – performing well, with 8.6 million and 8.8 million viewers respectively (Medium beat Ghost Whisperer! Yay! There is justice in this world). You have to remember, Friday night is considered a bit of a graveyard slot in the States, so these are pretty good figures. Certainly better than Dollhouse, which returned to Fox on Friday with 2.6 million viewers, coming last in its slot.
