Liam Neeson joins After.Life

Liam Neeson has joined the psychological thriller After.Life, signing to star alongside Christina Ricci.

Writer/director Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo’s film will find a young woman (Ricci) trapped between life and death, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Neeson will play a mysterious funeral direct who may possess the power of transitioning the dead along their journey, but might also want to bury her alive. All together now: dun… dun… duuuur!

Actors replaced

Ricci and Neeson are seemingly replacing Kate Bosworth and Alfred Molina who were originally attached when the project was announced months ago. Molina may still be on board, but Ricci is definitely taking over Bosworth’s lead role.

Vosloo (no relation to The Mummy’s Arnold) will start filming next month in New York.

It doesn’t exactly sound like the sort of thespian-intense project Neeson favours, but then he did do Star Wars Episode One and he has just made action thriller Taken. Plus, he can’t wait forever for Spielberg to start that Lincoln biopic. Man cannot live on mutton chops alone.
