Chris Pratt dismisses Ghostbusters rumours

Earlier this year, we heard tell that Sony was planning to expand its newly revived Ghostbusters franchise with a spin-off starring Chris Pratt and Channing Tatum in the leading roles. However, Pratt has been speaking to Esquire and has revealed that the story is, in his words, “complete bullshit”.

“No one has ever even spoken to me about that,” says Pratt, when asked about the Ghostbusters rumour. “Never. I've even seen Channing a couple times. As far as I know, that's complete bullshit.”

There had also been mutterings that Pratt might star in a new Knight Rider remake, but that too is seemingly just paper talk. “Knight Rider… bullshit,” confirms Pratt. “All of them.” Ah well…

It is of course possible that the Ghostbusters spin-off was indeed a serious proposal that didn’t actually make it as far as an official discussion with Pratt, but in any case it doesn’t seem to be happening any more. We’ll just have to make do with Paul Feig’s remake, when it arrives in 2016.
