Chris Pratt will head up The Real McCoy

Chris Pratt looks to have some more adventuring up his sleeve, with THR reporting that the Guardians Of The Galaxy star will head up Universal's action caper, The Real McCoy.

The film will tell the story of renowned bootlegger, Bill McCoy, whose exploits spawned the phrase from which the project takes its title. Expect Pratt to bring his signature roguish charm to this one in spades…

Universal snapped up the rights to the pitch earlier this week, with The Judge screenwriter Bill Dubuque in place to pen the script. Warner Bros. was also interested in the project, but was eventually outbid.

With the project in its infancy there are no confirmed dates as yet, but with Pratt's schedule already looking crowded, expect that to change in due course.
