Do you need a Prime membership for Prime Day Kindle deals?
Although a lot of Prime Day deals don't turn out to be Prime exclusive, any deals on Amazon Products like Fire TVs or Kindles are usually locked behind a Prime subscription paywall. Having said that, take a look at the trial below to try and skirt around paying for it.
When will October Prime Day Kindle deals begin?
Amazon's second "Prime Day" style event of 2023 is called "Big Deal Days" and starts formally on October 10, and ends on October 11. As is usually the case, we saw a few early bird deals start in the week leading up to it, since Amazon's own products like Kindles tend to be the first things to go on offer for Prime members.
What to expect from Prime Day Kindle deals 2023?
Over the last few years, Amazon has launched a large range of Kindles, all of which saw deals in carrying forms over the last couple of Prime Day events. Naturally, this can make it difficult to decide which one is best for your own personal needs. There are multiple models - from the standard Kindle, to the Paperwhite model to the pricey Oasis model – meaning it can be hard to know which one is better value for money.
The latest model to be released is the Kindle Scribe, which made its way to store shelves in November 2022. As a result, Prime Day in October marks almost a year since its release, which means we may see a heftier discount on it compared to July.
In July, Amazon in the US was out early with Kindle deals. The storefront posted its deals in the days leading up to Prime Day's official kick-off, whereas Amazon in the UK held out until the event was officially underway. On the whole, we saw more deals come from Amazon in the US - the UK mainly had bundle deals which lumped in the cases, power adapters, and other accessories. These were still great value, but here's hoping we see similar, if not better deals on the devices themselves this October. US deals saw historically low prices for quite a few Kindle models, too.
One thing to look out for is the Kindle daily deals since these get you pretty ridiculous prices on the E-reader books you have access to on Kindle devices. If you want to pick up some cheap books (for under a dollar) from some of the top authors out there, you can make use of Prime Day Kindle deals too.
Of course, there are plenty of Kindle accessories out there, and if you find the official Amazon ones a bit too pricey, there's no reason to give up your search. We found loads of third-party cases with some classy designs on offer in July. Whatever we find when the Big Deal Days event starts, we'll update this page.
Until then, take a look down below at some desired/expected prices for each Kindle model this October. While some of these are accurate to what we saw in July, others are a more general ballpark figure to help you budget.
