Sure, this only has 16GB storage, but most ebooks are tiny anyway and this will store more than enough at once outside of audiobooks or reading books with big images.

Buy it if:

✅ 7-inches feels like the right size
✅ Normal book reading is your priority
✅ You want a better backlight, not a front-light

Neat to see full book covers, but especially cool if you want to read comics. And, it's still e-ink technology!

Reading is good!

✅ You want a dedicated reading device for your kids, without iPad-like distraction apps nearby

This was ten dollars cheaper in October, though.

✅ You don't need a color screen

With a $150 saving, this is a huge discount on this color version of the Kindle Scribe, the notebook model that you can write on (and still use to read). Color features actually get a big boost with this model, as color-coding notes is a bit of a game-changer. With 32GB storage and an 11-inch screen, this is great for comics and magazines too. Also comes with a stylus pencil.

Buy it if:

✅ The ability to take notes is desirable
