Dope gets a new red-band trailer

A new trailer has landed for Dope, in which Shameikh Moore and his two misfit buddies end up with far more than they bargained for after attending the birthday party of local drug dealer, A$AP Rocky.

Landed with a big old bag of drugs, our heroes decide to try and shift their newfound wares to their wealthy, white peers. Or as Tony Revolori’s character puts it, “we can backpack and hitchhike and sing Mumford & Sons songs and all that shit.”

Take a look at the new trailer, below…

This latest trailer shows off the film’s filthy sense of humour to a tee, as Moore and co. bring their take on classic slacker comedy to the hood. The film caused quite a stir on the festival circuit, and with this kind of charm to burn, it’s easy to see why. Directed by Rick Famuyiwa and co-starring Kiersey Clemons, Blake Anderson and Kimberley Elise, Dope will open in the US on 19 June 2015 and the UK on 4 September 2015.
