Arnie talks Conan return: "hideous and unbelievable things" occur in film

Fresh from returning to one franchise in the form of Terminator: Genisys, Arnold Schwarzenegger is preparing to revive another classic character in the form of Conan the Barbarian. And according to the star, Chris Morgan's script is well on its way to being ready…

"I was hoping to do another one," says Arnie, "and I [liked] the idea of Conan having been king for a long time, then just threw it all away and went into retirement and went off into the mountains. That whole idea always appealed to me. Then of course he gets asked back because of some hideous and unbelievable things that are happening to the kingdom. So that’s when the battle begins again.”

"It needs some tweakage," he says of the script, "but really they’ve done an extraordinary job with it, very thoughtful, so I’m looking forward to working with them on that as soon as this gets out of the way. I’m very focused on one thing at a time. Then we do the next thing."

With Terminator: Genisys soon to land in cinemas, it sounds as though The Legend Of Conan will be next on Schwarzenegger's to-do list. Broadswords at the ready, people…
