Look out for Look Whos Talking remake

It seems that it’s all about the remake chatter this week.

If it’s not Fincher helming a new Dragon Tattoo , it’s Anna Faris going all military on us with an update of Goldie Hawn’s Private Benjamin .

Well, keeping the remake ball rolling, today Pajiba report that a remake of Look Who’s Talking is crawling clumsily towards the big screen.

Hollywood producer Neal H Moritz – him who made that dreadful Prom Night re-do, as well as the not-quite-as-dreadful-but-still-a-bit-rough I Am Legend – is looking to reboot the franchise with a total overhaul.

The original 1989 flick, written and directed by Amy Clueless Heckerling, starred Kirstie Alley and John Travolta. The former played an accountant impregnated by one of her married clients, the latter the taxi driver who takes her to the hospital, and who eventually falls in love with her.

Bruce Willis voiced Alley’s newborn tot, providing us with some witty insights into the inner workings of a baby’s mind (and here we thought they mostly revolved around eating and pooping... oh wait, they do).

Apparently the remake is currently “out to writers”, with no director yet attached. Moritz will no doubt be hoping to match the original flick’s box office stats – it took $300m in worldwide kerchings.
