Jonah Hill to join Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf Of Wall Street

Jonah Hill is set to continue his sideline in 'serious acting' with a role in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf Of Wall Street .

The Watch trailer has proven that Hill hasn't lost his taste for puerile gags, and he's still riding high on the box office success of the hugely enjoyable 21 Jump Street .

Moneyball , however, proved that he had some serious acting chops, and could hold his own opposite a top-level movie star, sparking nicely with Brad Pitt.

That'll come in handy as he'll be starring with Leonardo DiCaprio in Wolf , which is based on the memoir of Wall Street stockbroker Jordan Belfort.

According to the report by Deadline (who broke the news), Hill will play Belfort's friend and business partner.

It sounds like it'll be another gruelling performance for DiCaprio, as Belfort's hard-partying lifestyle inevitably can't last… Let's hope Hill convinces him to appear in his next comedy project.

And if you needed any more reason to get excited about this project's all-but-assured quality, Boardwalk Empire creator and Sopranos writer-producer Terence Winter has penned the script.

Expect big, award-shaped things from this one when it opens next year.
