Knockout gets more cast

Steven Soderbergh’s latest film, spy actioner Knockout , is quickly assembling its key cast members.

Having already recruited MMA fighter Gina Carano, the director has now nabbed the likes of Michael Douglas, Dennis Quaid, Ewan McGregor and Michael Fassbender. The latter recently spoke to Coming Soon and revealed that he will "play this MI6 operative that meets up with the lead character".

Really, nobody knocks out films these days as fast as Soderbergh. So it should come as no surprise that he’s able to grab big names like McGregor and Douglas at the bat of an eyelash.

What's Knockout about? It's a revenge story in which Carano plays Mallory Kane, a black ops soldier who must find out who on her team has double-crossed her. There will be blood.

Meanwhile, Douglas is set to play a grandfatherly government type, Fassbender will be a member of Kane’s commando spy unit, and McGregor will play the head of a private military company.
