InFamous sucks… blood in Festival of Blood launch trailer

Standalone horror spin-off hits PSN today

At GR we’re generally fans of the InFamous series, giving InFamous 2 a respectable 8/10, but its open world trappings might be too daunting for some new players. If only there was a smaller chunk of InFamous gameplay with some sort of spooky hook just in time for Halloween... Oh wait, that’s exactly what InFamous: Festival of Blood is, and the standalone downloadable was released today on PSN. Here’s the launch trailer to prove it…

Series hero (or villain if you so choose) Cole has been turned into a vampire and needs to get his life straight before he’s a bloodsucker permanently. Of course, the vampire’s curse comes with nice perks like mind control and teleportation on top of refilling Cole’s health every time you drink someone's blood. The game is $9.99 ($7.99 for PlayStation Plus users) and you don’t have InFamous 2, don’t worry, as this taste of InFamous fun is a standalone download. We’ll have a review soon, but you can read our dense preview on it here.

Cole is one lucky guy... Super powers AND becoming a vampire? That's just greedy!
