David Ayer insists Suicide Squad surprises are "intact"

While most big superhero tentpoles are shrouded in secrecy, Suicide Squad has been remarkably open with its location shooting, with a whole host of footage leaking onto the internet. However, director David Ayer insists that is about to change…

While we have seen glimpses of Jared Leto's Joker and Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, not to mention a certain familiar-looking automobile, the street shooting has now finished, meaning there shouldn't be too many spoilers cropping up on the web. And what's more, Ayer insists that nothing very significant has been given away anyway…

"Well we survived the streets," announced Ayer via his official Twitter feed. "Time to go dark now. Remember, only the tiniest glimpse has been exposed. Our surprises are intact." We'd imagine the paps will have other ideas, but we shall see...

Co-starring Will Smith, Jai Courtney and Joel Kinnaman, Suicide Squad will open in the US and UK on 5 August 2016.
