Bradley Cooper in line for Cameron Crowes new movie

Cameron Crowe’s Deep Tiki has been on the back-burner for an age, with the director initially signing on to helm the project back in 2008. However, things finally appear to be moving forward…

Emma Stone has already been cast to play the film’s female lead, with Bradley Cooper reportedly in talks to star opposite her. The film had initially been lined up for Reese Witherspoon and Ben Stiller.

Deep Tiki
tells the story of a military contractor presumed dead after an incident in Afghanistan, who uses his apparent demise to carve out a whole new life for himself.

The admittedly off-beam plot then sees our hero dispatched to Hawaii in order to convince a spiritual leader to give his blessing to a military satellite launch, a process that proves harder than expected.

Sounds a little barmy then, but we’re just happy to see Crowe back in the groove of filmmaking again after the six-year gap between Elizabethtown and We Bought A Zoo . Deep Tiki is set to begin shooting next spring.
