GDC 2010: Sony Press Conference

The Games Developer Conference is like a more sophisticated E3 - it's focused on the art and thought of making games rather than the hype that surrounds them. That said, Sony's taking advantage of having everyone on hand for GDC to spout some new knowledge about its wares. We hear they'll be talking about their motion control tech, but could there be more? Check out below, and be sure to join in on the conversation!

Even though the conference is over, you can still load this player and re-live the breakneck excitement of our witty barbs AND your very own comments! Keep up with GamesRadar on Twitter and Facebook for updates on live blogs, streaming gameplay and podcasts.

We all think it is stupid that Playstation is catering to the casual market HOWEVER said market is stupidly ****ing lucrative sadly... As a Sony fan, I think this is a moronic idea and immediately has already started to have people, including my Wii-using grandmother, calling out Sony on it. To be completely fair though- we, the gamers, think this is dumbass idea HOWEVER the average Wii owner (vis a vis "Soccer Mom's"... and not the hot kind either >_>) eat this **** up. We'll ultimately see what's up in the end.

I stayed up for this in the UK expecting to see actual games and I got motion control. WTF

Damn it sony. why? The "casual" market wont buy a ps3 for the same thing that they got from the wii 3 years ago. Start thinking sony. Please?

i am apart of the wii market and it has great games and i am glad the move will be the like the wii because i always wanted a ape escape for the wii but with the move it would be the best of both worlds.

I don't wanna dip into the haterade too much, but damn, that was everything I dislike about the Wii rolled into one press conference and trotted around like it was new. Wow. Reserving judgment for the games, but based on the demos, my opinion will not alter much.

SOCOM 4, LBP and the dueling game were decent uses. Hopefully this works better than the Wiimote + motion plus out of the box, otherwise it's a useless endeavor. I could see it being fun but I'm not too interested in more peripherals unless it's a really good bundle.

The Wii market doesn't care about precision or HD graphics. They just want to waggle at shit.
