Joe Carnahan linked to Bad Boys 3
Sony may have found itself a new writer and director for Bad Boys 3, with Deadline reporting that Joe Carnahan is in discussions to take over both responsibilities on the long-awaited sequel.
Safe House screenwriter David Guggenheim had already written a draft version of the script, with the report claiming that Carnahan would only need to perform a brief rewrite. As to his directing credentials, his work on The A-Team, Smokin’ Aces and The Grey all suggest that he should have no trouble handling the action.
A second sequel has been on the cards for some time now, with Martin Lawrence saying the project was close to happening at the back end of last year. Deadline reports that Sony is now keen to move quickly, with a view to trying to lock down Will Smith after he completes work on Suicide Squad. Tropical fruit Bubblicious at the ready…
